Get To Know Sarah: The Cyclical Herbalist

Walk The Earth Apothecary was born from my own healing journey.

I was first diagnosed with endometriosis and uterine fibroids at just 14 years old. Years later, I was also diagnosed with PCOS and told more than once that conceiving naturally would most likely not be possible for me. Like so many women, I spent years moving through pain, confusion, dismissal, surgeries, and synthetic hormone treatments before I began asking a deeper question:

What if my body wasn’t broken? What if it was asking to be understood?

That question changed everything.

I began studying herbal medicine, aromatherapy, and hormone health so I could learn how to support my body at the root instead of only managing symptoms. During that time, I reconnected with nature in a way I never had before. I spent hours walking trails, learning plants, working with seasonal rhythms, and discovering the powerful relationship between the earth, our cycles, and our hormones.

Through cycle-syncing, herbal medicine, and nervous system support, I gradually experienced relief from symptoms I had been told I would live with forever. I’ve now considered my endometriosis in remission for several years, and around that same season of healing I conceived my daughter, Aria, naturally — something I once believed would never be a part of my story.

I became familiar with herbs like raspberry leaf, vitex, dong quai, and cramp bark; with flowers like hibiscus, yarrow, lavender, and calendula; with fungi like reishi, turkey tail, and chicken of the woods. I grew a deep love for walking the earth and learning directly from her. I learned about the carbon-based constituents within plants that create their therapeutic actions and medicinal effects- I fell in love with the chemistry of plants & myself along the way.

That transformation became the foundation of my work.

I am now a Hormone Health Certified Clinical Master Herbalist and Aromatherapist, and I created Walk The Earth Apothecary to offer the kind of support I once needed: grounded, root-cause focused, and deeply connected to the body’s natural rhythms. While much of my work supports women navigating hormone and cycle challenges, this apothecary exists as a space for reconnecting with plant medicine, seasonal living, and the wisdom our bodies already carry.

My work blends traditional herbal wisdom, modern hormone education, and cyclical living practices to help people reconnect with their bodies instead of fighting against them.

Because healing didn’t begin for me when I found the “right treatment.”

It began when I learned how to really listen.

I found my ikigai, my dharma, my reason for being. I came home to nature. I came home to myself.

And now it’s my purpose to help others come home to that same wisdom within themselves.

Walk the earth long enough, and she teaches you how to trust your body again 🌿
