🌕 Full Moon Tea — Ovulatory Phase
Radiant, magnetic, & full of life—Full Moon Tea embodies the luminous energy of the ovulatory phase, when your hormones crest as your body reaches its peak fertility & creative power.
As estrogen & luteinizing hormone rise to trigger ovulation, this blend harmonizes, nourishes, and grounds the abundance of energy moving through your system. It supports hormonal balance, liver function, & emotional steadiness—helping you embody your inner wild woman.
Shatavari root, known as the “queen of herbs” in Ayurvedic tradition, deeply nourishes the female reproductive system. Its phytoestrogenic properties help balance estrogen levels, enhance cervical fluid, & support ovulation while keeping hormones in harmony. Its adaptogenic properties replenish yin energy, cultivating softness, sensuality, & vitality during this fertile peak.
Wild yam root, known as the “fertility root”, optimizes estrogen levels while offering natural progesterone-like compounds that help prepare the body for the luteal phase ahead. It helps to stimulate ovulation, increase cervical mucus & aid implantation in the uterine lining. It’s antispasmodic properties also aid in ovarian & fallopian tube spasms, while easing tension in the womb.
Yarrow brings equilibrium to the reproductive and circulatory systems, promoting healthy uterine tone and supporting the movement of blood & stagnant energy through the pelvis. Its harmonizing effect helps regulate the menstrual cycle and ease any mid-cycle discomfort.
Dandelion root & burdock root work in partnership to support the liver by metabolizing & clearing excess estrogen—ensuring hormonal balance through detoxification & nutrient renewal. These roots encourage radiant skin, balanced hormones, and smooth digestion- grounding the high energy of ovulation into steady vitality.
Hibiscus acts as a natural aphrodisiac, and has contraceptive effects due to phytoestrogens. It is also rich in antioxidants & minerals that support blood health and circulation, while orange peel uplifts the spirit, promotes gentle liver flow, & brightens the mood—mirroring the joy and luminosity of this inner summer.
While it is common for some women to experience ovulation cramping during this phase, it is NOT normal for this to be painful, and can often times signal hormonal imbalance. You can manage this by syncing up the herbs you use, foods you eat, ways you move your body, & the activities you engage in!
