Our loose-leaf Waning Moon Tea aims for
for calming nerves & PMS symptoms with adaptogenic and blood-sugar balancing herbs; all while providing hormonal balance during days 15-28 of your cycle-the luteal phase!
Your luteal phase starts around day 15/16 of your cycle- it is generally the 2 weeks prior to your menstrual phase. Your body produces a temporary endocrine gland known as the corpus luteum, which produces the majority of progesterone during this phase. Meanwhile, most other hormones decline (estrogen, serotonin, FSH, and testosterone) and your metabolic rate increases.
This is your "inner autumn". Your internal body temperature starts waning along with your energy, libido, & mood(Hello PMS)! There is a lack of concentration and it is seen as generally a more irritable, emotional, and anxious time-but it doesn't have to be!
You can manage cycle phases by syncing up the herbs you use, foods you eat, ways you move your body, & the activities you engage in! Follow @thecyclicalherbalist for more info on cycle-syncing.
